Bicycles provide swift transport, access to education, health and income – especially for young women and children.
YEP are determined to help children & families in Africa get from A-B more successfully and have formed an empowering partnership with Re-Cycle.
How many children & families in the UK have unused bikes? And how many of us would like to help children & families who are less fortunate than us?
Bicycles play an essential role in keeping children in education in Africa, especially when they get older and have to travel further afield to secondary school. A bicycle can cut journey times by as much as 75%, which means children can travel more safely to and from school – and research has shown can increase the income of a poor family by as much as 35%. The additional advantage is that students have more time and energy to focus on their studies, and families can spend less time collecting water and food. Bicycles give families the extra time to earn, learn and enjoy life.
Please help us to start making a difference today and donate your old bicycle and give a child the opportunity to access a quality education and help families get from A-B more successfully.
How to donate your bike:
Simply go on www.re-cycle.org , type in your postcode on ‘find a bike drop-off location’ and scroll down to select your drop-off point in your designated area.

It’s essential that bikes must be whole and imperative they are in good working condition. They MUST have a 20 inch or above wheel diameter, as bikes donated are frequently used by whole families, we cannot accept small children’s or full suspension bikes as our partners in Africa do not take these. Halford’s cannot accept any more than 1 bike in one go. For more info please see types of bikes we want and don’t want in our FAQ.
Old bike. New lives. Don’t let your bike go to waste in the shed.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity and support with Yep Re~Cycle and our "GOAL" to help children and families in Africa
